A new bane has fallen on my productivity. The one-year-old has fallen in love with the lonely goatherd, and twelve-or-so times a day, he would accost me at my seat in front of the computer, with the walis tambo in his hand, demanding, "Mommy, ting Ooh-le-too-too!"
Now if it had been the four-year-old or the six-year-old asking me to sing "Yodel-lay-hee-hoo," I would simply have said, "Baby, I can't. Mommy's at work."
But how do you reason with a one-year-old, and a very charmingly persistent one at that?
So Mommy takes the walis tambo, uses it as a mic, and sings her nth rendition of that annoying Sound of Music classic:
