The Weirdest Online Store in the Philippines (a.k.a. Anybody Looking to Buy a Home Endoscope?)

Sonic Keyfinder
As I was looking for Christmas gifts online, I found the most interesting Philippine-based Internet store I've ever seen: LatestGadget.net. (Advance disclosure: This is an un-sponsored post.)

What makes it so interesting? Here's a quick sampler of the merchandise you can find there:
  • Wireless remote key finder, for people who wish their keys were as easy to find as their cellphones
  • Water-powered calculator, because the solar-powered variety is just too cliche
  • Portable deep fryer, when your craving for bad cholesterol simply can't wait 'til you get to the restaurant
  • Star projector, because natural stars haven't been seen in your city since 1995
  • Soda dispenser, for times when simply tilting the soda bottle is just too much work
  • Disappearing ink pen, for signing documents that you don't really want to sign
  • Home endoscope, for when you really, really need to see what's inside your esophagus
But wait! There's more!
  • automatic toothpaste dispenser
  • electronic shoe dryer and deodorizer
  • eco laundry ball
  • automatic fish feeder
  • USB-powered refrigerator
  • retro-phone-style mobile headset
  • ropeless electronic jump rope
  • spy sunglasses with rear view
  • remote-controlled LED lightbulb
  • wind-up phone charger
  • etc.
I'm still looking around, but I think this is the place where I can find that elusive gift for the men in my family. (They've always been the hardest to shop Christmas gifts for.)

Now, like most Philippine online stores, you'll find that most of the products here come with no customer reviews whatsoever. My suggestion is, keep Amazon.com open in another tab. You'll find reviews of most of the products there.
